But eventually, accidents happen and when it happens to your leather sofa, it’s bizarre. If your leather sofa gets stains, this blog will teach you different ways for Sofa Stain Removal.

POINT TO REMEMBER:

All leather is not equal. There is no universal answer for how to remove stains from all leather sofa. There are two types of material from which all the sofas and furniture of leather are made: Aniline-dyed leather and pigmented leather.

Aniline - Dyed Leather - This type of leather is softer and richer in colour. It looks natural because there is no finishing coat has applied to it. It is also known as ‘unfinished leather’.
Pigmented Leather - Their surface is coated with pigment as it’s not soft than the aniline-dyed leather. But it tends to be more durable and its colour will not fade after year over the years.

HOW TO CLEAN UNFINISHED ANILINE - DYED LEATHER?

Please take note that always calls the upholstery cleaner or sofa cleaning expert, when the sofa you own need any sort of help in stain removal. Because you could be responsible for your irreparable damage.

CLEARING WATER STAINS FROM PIGMENTED LEATHER:

Water seems innocuous but it can leave marks on the leather sofas and wooden furniture. If you catch them immediately, you can soak them in any cotton cloth, but when it sets, you have to do a little bit of work. For this you need these things:

Clean White Cloth or Towel.
Leather Conditioner.
Distilled Water.

Take a clean white cloth or towel and dip into the water and make it damp. Then put it on the stain and wipe it gently in a circular motion. Continue this process until the stain removed. If it removes, dries the surface(if not, repeat the same until it removes). When it dries, use leather conditioner for giving the final touch-up.

CLEARING GREASE STAINS FROM LEATHER:

Grease and leather have no combination. Here grease means the oily food which is accidentally fallen on your leather sofa or your pet’s natural body oil. For removing them, you’ll need these things:
A Clean White Cloth or Towel.
A Leather Conditioner.
Cornstarch or Talcum Powder.

Here is the Complete Process: Given below is the complete process for clearing grease stain removal.

Blot grease in clean white cloth or towel as much as possible.
And then take some cornstarch or talcum powder and sprinkle it on the stain.
Leave it for a while then gently wipe it with a clean white cloth.
Repeat the process if needed.
If the mark has gone, take a leather conditioner on a clean cloth and apply gently on the whole sofa for a shining touch.
You can also use a dishwashing liquid for removing stains.
