Lilies

They have bloomed
then died
since your eyes
rested upon their now
vacant space

Immortalized with a flash
Skewed at angles
unclear

anesthetizing the one who looks there
with splayed petals
sweet perfume
and such innocent vulgarity

The mind wanders to the
trivial, fleeting thought
that you will never see.

Out of curiosity, and to better understand the poem, why didn't you capitalize "anesthetizing "?

Alamir,
The 'one' who looks is momentarily anesthetized... I very intentionally (in case you were wondering) tried to capture this transience of the moment by giving the descriptive word itself less significance than the enduring frame caused by the immortalization of the image.
