“Throw a punch! Don’t be such a punk!” a random kid screams

Does this sound familiar?

Picture this:

Lunch time at school
5th graders busy at play
Some chose slides, some chose seesaw,
The cool kids get the swings

Then, there’s THAT kid
The one kid that would be found in the deepest corner of the playground
The one that would never play, never speak, and is would always be told:
“Go eat snails!” by the cooler kids

Weeks would go by of continuous snail binging
And one day, SnailKid chose to rise up from his corner and swing
One step after another, SnailKid slowly approached the apparatus
But on the way, he scuffed the shoe of the CoolestKid, the playground boss

Instantly, all the SwingKids, SeesawKids and SlideKids gathered
Gathered like giraffes at an African pond to gaze at the spectacle
A circle formed around the fighters
The on-lookers slowly began to chant the magical words: “FIGHT! FIGHT!”

Words are exchanged between the CoolestKid and SnailKid
“You marked my shoe, now I’ll mark your face,”
Threatened CoolestKid as he yelled at the top of his lungs
“I…I didn’t…I didn’t mea-”

“LET’S SEE SOME GUTS!”
An on-looker screamed, cutting off the apology of SnailKid
Glances were exchange, and soon enough
The inevitable happened

In an instance, the fight was underway
CoolestKid pounced like a predator on prey, wanting to tear SnailKid apart
After CoolestKid executed his intricate wrestling manouveurs
SnailKid was sprawled out on the ground, looking like damaged fruit.

Subsequently, the final moment of all school yard fights ensued
CoolestKid rose once more and stood over SnailKid
“Any last words you sand eating twerp?” asked CoolestKid
“Yeah. I ate eat snails, now you eat slugs” SnailKid responded

As this was said, SnailKid pulled out something from his pocket
In one swift movement, a silver-plated desert eagle gun was unveiled
In his feeble state, SnailKid steadily aimed
The trigger was pulled and CoolestKid was left to feast in peace
